Robert Lawrence (film editor)
Robert Lawrence (born November 9, 1913 in Montreal , Québec , † September 19, 2004 in Madison , Wisconsin ) was a Canadian film editor .
Life
Lawrence began his career as an editor in the early 1950s. Up to and including 1987 he was involved in more than 30 productions in the field of film editing .
In 1961, Lawrence was nominated for an Oscar in the Best Editing category for his work on the period film Spartacus .
For the film Anatevka he was nominated together with Antony Gibbs for the 1972 Eddie Award . They also received a nomination for the BAFTA Film Award .
Its last production was Rent-a-Cop from 1987.
