Career

Mösching played his first international jumping competition with the Four Hills Tournament 1974/75 . On his first tour, however, he was largely unsuccessful. It was not until the Four Hills Tournament in 1975/76 that he was able to jump into the top twenty twice.

At the 1976 Winter Olympics in Innsbruck Mösching reached 35th place on the normal hill and 38th place on the large hill.

During the 1976/77 , 1977/78 and 1978/79 tours , Mösching was largely unsuccessful, as was the case before the games. In 1979 he was accepted into the national team for the newly created ski jumping World Cup . On December 27, 1979, he jumped his first World Cup competition in Cortina d'Ampezzo and was able to win his first World Cup points with 11th place. The 1979/80 Four Hills Tournament was also more successful for Mösching. Even if he could not achieve a placement in the overall tour, he won four World Cup points in Oberstdorf and Bischofshofen .

For the 1980 Winter Olympics in Lake Placid , the Swiss squad was again included and reached 37th place on the normal hill and 17th place on the large hill.

After the games, Mösching started at the two World Cup competitions in St. Moritz and Gstaad . In St. Moritz, on February 27, 1980, he achieved his first and only World Cup podium with third place. At the end of the 1979/80 season, Mösching finished his active ski jumping career in 28th place overall.
