Robert M. Zingg
Robert Mowry Zingg (born April 8, 1900 in Hugo , Lincoln County , Colorado , † January 3, 1957 in El Paso , El Paso County , Texas ) was an American anthropologist. He taught at the University of Denver , Colorado.
In 1930 he spent nine months with Wendell Bennett among the Tarahumara of Chihuahua in Mexico and did a great job researching the mythology of the Huichols ( Huichol ), for which he collected material in 1934 in Tuxpan .
Zingg received his doctorate in Chicago in 1937 on the reconstruction of the history of the Uto-Aztecs .
He is co-author of the book with the famous report by JAL Singh about the wolf children Kamala and Amala from Medinipur (Denver 1942).
