Robert Moser (born March 3, 1922 in Saint-Imier , † August 14, 2005 in La Chaux-de-Fonds , reformed , resident in Madretsch ) was a Swiss politician (FDP) .

biography

Robert Moser was born on March 3, 1922 in Saint-Imier to the watchmaker Charles Emile Moser and Marie Clara, born Sinder. Moser finished the study of Economic and Commercial Sciences at the University of Neuchatel , which he in 1945 with the Licentiate completed.

As a result, Robert Moser was director of the School of the Swiss Commercial Association from 1946 to 1968 . He also acted as secretary from 1946 to 1968, then from 1969 to 1991 as vice president and most recently from 1991 to 1993 as president of the Swiss Commercial Association.

He also served as President of the Cercle du Sapin and as a member of the Board of Directors of the Neuchâtel Caisse cantonale d'assurance populaire. In 1977 he took an active part in the creation of the International Watch Museum in La Chaux-de-Fonds.

In 1947 Robert Moser married Violette Adelina, the daughter of the gardener Raoul Fauriat. He died on August 14, 2005 at the age of 83 in La Chaux-de-Fonds.

Political offices

Robert Moser, a member of the Free Democratic Party, was elected to the General Council ( Legislative ) of La Chaux-de-Fonds at the beginning of his political career in 1952 , to which he belonged until 1968. Immediately afterwards he sat on the city ​​council until 1987 , where he headed the finance and education department. He also represented his party in the Neuchâtel Grand Council from 1953 to 1985 .

In addition, he sat on the National Council for the canton from 1975 to 1979 . There he was represented in the Railway Commission.
