Robert Pelikán (born November 18, 1979 in Prague ) is a Czech lawyer and politician. From March 2015 to June 2018 he was Minister of Justice of the Czech Republic.

Pelikán comes from a family of lawyers, his mother Irena Pelikánová is a university professor and judge at the General Court of the European Union . Pelikán studied at the Law Faculty of Charles University and then worked there as an external employee. In 2010 he obtained a doctorate in law . As a lawyer, for example, he defended the city of Karlovy Vary in an owner dispute over the KV Arena there .

In 2013, Pelikán started working as a legal advisor for the ANO 2011 party . On June 4, 2014, he was appointed Deputy Minister of Justice Helena Válková and on March 15, 2015, after her resignation, as her successor in the Bohuslav Sobotka government, which has been in office since January 2014 . He attracted media attention after taking office as he occasionally rides his bike to work at the ministry.

He retained his office in the Andrej Babiš I government , which was sworn in on December 13, 2017.
