Robert Rapatz

Robert Rapatz (born August 14, 1890 in Pörtschach am Wörther See , † December 17, 1964 in Klagenfurt ) was an Austrian politician ( ÖVP ) and master builder. From 1953 to 1955 he was a member of the Austrian National Council .

Life

After primary school, Rapatz attended secondary school in Klagenfurt and then studied at the Vienna University of Technology . Rapatz completed his studies with the academic degree Dipl.-Ing. and was active as a civil engineer from 1919. He also worked as a freelance civil engineer for the construction industry and became a builder in 1924 . In 1927 he founded a construction company.

Rapatz was active in the NSDAP and was involved as chairman of the Carinthian Engineers' Association. After the Second World War, he became involved in the ÖVP and between 1945 and 1955 took over the office of President of the Carinthian Chamber of Commerce . For the ÖVP he was active as a member of the National Council between March 18, 1953 and January 17, 1955.
