Robert Rother (trumpeter)

Robert Rother (born December 4, 1968 in Melk , Lower Austria ) is an Austrian trumpeter and recorder player .

Life

Robert Rother comes from Melk . He received his first trumpet lessons at the age of eight from Johann Gansch with the Melk town band .

He completed his studies in trumpet concert from 1984 to 1991 at the Vienna University of Music with Josef Pomberger. From 1991 to 1994 he studied instrumental pedagogy trumpet and later instrumental pedagogy recorder at the Joseph Haydn Conservatory in Eisenstadt . From 1985 he was a freelancer at several Viennese orchestras ( Vienna Symphony , the Vienna State Opera Orchestra , Vienna Radio Symphony Orchestra ) operates. From 1990 to 2003 he was Kapellmeister and music teacher with the Mank band . Since 1996 he has been Kapellmeister of the Lyra Wiener Neudorf music association . At the " AufhOHRchen " festival in 1996 he joined the group Mnozil Brass , of which he has been a member since then.

Since September 2008 Rother has been the director of the Wiener Neudorf music school.

Awards

Robert Rother received the silver conductor's pin from the Lower Austrian Brass Music Association in 1999 and the golden conductor pin in 2002.
