Robert Shelton Royal (* 15. May 1979 in New Orleans , Louisiana ) is a former American American football poker players on the position of tight ends . He played a total of nine years in the National Football League (NFL).

Early years

Royal went to high school in his native New Orleans. He later attended Louisiana State University .

NFL

Washington Redskins

Royal was selected in the fifth round of the 2002 NFL Draft in 160th place by the Washington Redskins . In his four years with the Redskins, he blossomed into a regular player. In the 2004 season he was able to record four touchdowns ; his personal best.

Buffalo Bills

On March 11, 2006, Royal signed a contract with the Buffalo Bills . Here, too, he was a regular player, but was released on February 26, 2009.

Cleveland Browns

On March 5, 2009, he signed a contract with the Cleveland Browns . He was released on February 9, 2011.
