From something else ( Czech O něčem jiném ) is a Czechoslovak film by Věra Chytilová from 1963. The film combines two separate stories: one about Věra, a fictional Czechoslovak housewife, and the other about Eva, an Olympic gymnast. The real Olympic gold medalist Eva Bosáková plays the role of Eva.

It is Chytilová's first full-length film. He belongs to the Czechoslovak New Wave . In 1963 it won the main prize at the Mannheim-Heidelberg International Film Festival . The film has received praise from film critics and academics.
