Robert August Wilhelm Schormann (born June 2, 1906 in Hervest , † March 7, 1962 in Cuxhaven ) was a German politician ( NSDAP ) and SA leader .

Live and act

After attending elementary and secondary school , Robert Schormann earned his living as a construction worker, track worker and mechanical engineer. He later joined the Reichsmarine as a stoker . During this time he graduated from high school and spent eighteen months on trips abroad. Following the ensign examination, he was a member of the navy for five years, during which he participated as a machinist on trips in the merchant navy. After leaving the Navy, he worked as a machine builder, representative and field worker.

According to his own statements, Schormann joined the NSDAP and the SA in October 1922. During the temporary ban on the NSDAP from November 1923 to spring 1925, Schormann belonged to right-wing extremist military organizations.

In 1933 Schormann was a member of the Hamburg Parliament . He was also a member of the Hamburg State Council until November 18, 1933, and was the leader of SA Brigade 12 (Hamburg) until November 1933. He was also the leader of SA Brigade 111 (Rostock) from 1933 to 1935 and leader of SA Brigade 26 (Brandenburg East) from 1935 to April 1, 1938. On January 15, 1938, Schormann took over the post of "Gauinspector für Seeschiffahrt" in the foreign organization of the NSDAP .

From November 1933 until the end of the Nazi regime in the spring of 1945, Schormann sat as a member of the National Socialist Reichstag for constituency 2 (West Berlin) .

He became staff leader of the SA group Sudeten and in 1943 he achieved the rank of standard leader in the SA. From November 1, 1942, he was also entrusted with the provisional management of the Office for Physical Education in the Reich Ministry of Education .
