Robert Seiler

Robert Seiler (* 1891 in Berlin-Neukölln , † 1971 in Bielefeld ) was a German painter and draftsman .

Life

First, he completed a craft vocational training. He then studied first at the arts and crafts school in Charlottenburg and finally from 1919 to 1921 at the arts and crafts school in Bielefeld. Then he passed his master craftsman examination as a carpenter . From 1921 to 1923 he taught drawing and handicrafts in Wickersdorf near Saalfeld . From 1922 to 1926 he was head of the wood architecture workshop at the Bauhaus in Weimar . He then completed his training at the art academy in Kassel . From 1926 until the entry into the war in 1939 he was a lecturer at the Bielefeld Art College for works and drawing. From 1948 to 1960 he was a professor at the Bielefeld Art College.
