Robert Strobl (born October 24, 1985 in Güssing ) is an Austrian football player .

Career

Strobl began at the age of seven at the lower class club USV Söchau, where he went through the various ages to play football. On June 20, 2002 he moved to DUSV Loipersdorf and from there on January 28, 2004 to UFC Fehring, for which he played 27 games.

On June 20, 2006, the 182 centimeter tall midfielder was signed by SC Weiz for the Regionalliga Mitte (third level). In the first 2006/07 season Strobl was able to secure a regular place with 29 appearances (three goals). In the 2007/08 season he came to 25 missions (four goals). After Strobl also demonstrated his strengths in the 2008/09 season with 29 appearances and four goals, he was signed on June 20, 2009 by the regional league champion and first league promoted TSV Hartberg.

On July 14, 2009 Strobl made his debut as a professional footballer for TSV Hartberg in the 4-0 defeat at Bundesliga relegated SCR Altach . He was substituted on for Michael Gruber in the 55th minute . With his first professional goal on October 3, 2009 he fixed the 2-0 home win against SC Austria Lustenau . In the 2009/10 season Strobl played 29 of 33 games.

In summer 2012 he moved to SV Grödig , with whom he was promoted to the Bundesliga in 2013 . Grödig was able to stay there for three seasons before retiring from professional football in 2016 and joining the regional league. Nevertheless Strobl remained loyal to the club and extended his contract.

For the 2018/19 season, after six years with Grödig, he moved to the fourth-class Salzburg AK 1914 .
