Robert Ulrich

Robert Ulrich (born November 10, 1888 in Regensburg , † January 28, 1952 in Munich ) was a German diplomat .

Career

Ulrich studied law and political science in Munich, Geneva and Berlin . After completing his doctorate, he joined the Federal Foreign Office . He was deployed in Rome and Bern and in 1931 became a lecturer in the economic department of the Foreign Office and in 1933 its deputy head. Because of his Jewish descent, he was released in 1935 and emigrated to Great Britain . In 1950 he returned to Germany and became head of the General Secretariat for the Schuman Plan . From 1951 he was Ambassador of the Federal Republic in Yugoslavia .
