The prose text Everything that has been written so far quark

His prose text Everything that has been written so far quark is only preserved in one copy. The booklet was brought to the survivors through “preventive detention” at the Gestapo and later at the Stasi and published for the first time in an extract in 1986, in full length in 1987 and as a facsimile in 1988. The editor Norbert Tefelski assumes that the text is the last chapter of a novel confiscated by the Nazis in 1935. “Nobody knows who Robert Wienes was. He was certainly suffering from schizophrenic psychosis. "

A genre-specific classification of the text is difficult. It is divided into six chapters - framed by two mottos - but these chapters are filled with cascades of sound and sentence fragments, hardly understandable puns, anagrams , prescriptions and sound associations. Formal structures of various genres and genres can be shown, intertextual references, which are only hinted at, reinforce the montage character of the text. A narrative structure or discursive development of a text event or an action is not recognizable. His language contains echoes of the Lower Rhine region. Wienes probably had professional experience as a typesetter or book printer. As a word artist , he experiments with language in a similar way to James Joyce , Kurt Schwitters , Otto Nebel and Arno Schmidt .

The author is not to be confused with the director Robert Wiene in the genitive, made famous by Das Cabinet des Dr. Caligari .
