Robert Zernicke

Robert Zernicke (born January 7, 1983 in Braunschweig ) is a former German football player .

career

Zernicke's American football career began in 2000 while studying at Smith Valley High School, Nevada . From 2001 to 2004 he played with the Salzburg Bulls in Austria and from 2005 to 2009 with the Munich Cowboys , while studying sport at the Technical University of Munich . With the Munich team in 2007 he was promoted to the top German league, the GFL .

The 1.94-meter-long defensive player moved to the Plattling Black Hawks for the 2010 season . In 2010 he became European champion with the German team. In 2011 he joined the Austrian first division club Swarco Raiders Tirol and won the national championship and the Eurobowl with the team . He took part in the 2011 World Cup with the German national team and came fifth there with the selection. In 2012 Zernicke became Swiss champions with the Calanda Broncos and won the Eurobowl.

In the playing years 2013, 2014 and 2015 he was in the service of the Braunschweig Lions , with the Lower Saxony Zernicke was German champion in all three years, and in 2015 he won the Eurobowl. In 2014 he repeated winning the European Championship with the German national team. In the run-up to the 2016 season, Zernicke became a member of the Munich Cowboys coaching staff and henceforth looked after the defenders of the Munich team.
