Roberto Barthel Rosa

Roberto Barthel Rosa (born November 29, 1906 in Rio de Janeiro , † 1990 ) was a Brazilian diplomat .

Life

Roberto Barthel Rosa was the son of Jean ne Marie Barthel-Rosa and Júlio Machado Soares da Rosa. His son from his first marriage is Paulo Roberto Bartel Rosa (born October 1, 1939 in Rio de Janeiro). In her second marriage, Rosa was married to Betty Elvina Barthel-Rosa.

Roberto Barthel Rosa studied at the engineering school in Itajubá, at the École des Ponts ParisTech , at the Institut polytechnique de Grenoble and at the Technical University of Dresden . He then entered the diplomatic service and was used from 1950 to March 29, 1954 as a consul in San Francisco . Subsequently he was chargé d'affaires in Canberra until August 21, 1954 and received exequatur again as consul in Philadelphia from October 25, 1955 .

From July 5, 1958 to November 12, 1958, Rosa was employed as Chargé d'affaires in Karachi and then from 1961 to 1962 was the Brazilian government's representative in Geneva and Chargé d'Affaires in Damascus . At that time Syria was part of the United Arab Republic . Finally, from 1965 to June 23, 1967, Rosa was transferred to Seoul as chargé d' affaires, where he then worked as ambassador until November 28, 1968.
