action

The illness of their eleven-year-old son means an unthinkably difficult decision for a couple: leave the boy in the hospital, not give him up and keep him alive as long as possible or bring him home - to die. The father decides on a completely different solution: he kidnaps his son from the hospital to go on a trip with him, during which they fill the boy's bucket list .

The stunned, determined mother alerts the police and tries everything in her power to find them. A commissioner follows the trail of father and son as far as South Africa.

The story is told - literally - through lyrical elements within the plot, as the father, John, a well-known poetry slammer, reports on stage about the dramatic, beautiful journey with his boy Robin. Robin's mother, Miriam, and the inspector discover a code in the verses - a kind of travel diary - that provides clues to the boy's whereabouts. A search for time begins - because every day could be Robin's last.

Lifetime or quality of life, "survival" or really life, that is the universal conflict that Robin revolves around.

Watch for Wishes

Watch for Wishes is an online donation marathon started at the same time as Robin was published with the aim of supporting sick and disadvantaged children. Every click on the YouTube link of the film automatically generates a 10 cents donation for the benefit of DKMS , McDonalds Children's Aid and SOS Children's Villages . The donations are borne by companies. In the first few days, the film received over 90,000 views

The aim of the production is to translate the content of the film into reality in order to help children like the film boy Robin with the film. In this context you speak of a “social impact film”.
