Robin Baghdady (born March 22, 1999 in Switzerland ) is a German-Swiss volleyball player .

Career

Baghdady comes from a volleyball family. His mother Juliane Schlipf took part in the 1986 World Cup with the German national team. His father Jalal Baghdady also played for TSV 1860 Munich and VfB Friedrichshafen in the 1990s and was named Iranian Sportsman of the Year. With his father, who worked as a coach at TV Amriswil , he came to the hall as a child and then played for the Swiss first division club himself. In 2017, the outside attacker won the double from the national cup and the championship with Amriswil. In 2018 Amriswil won the next cup. Baghdady was also used in the CEV Cup . He then went to Canada to study and played at Brandon University on the university team Bobcats. In 2020 he was signed by the German Bundesliga club Berlin Recycling Volleys .
