Cody Kessel (born December 3, 1991 in Colorado Springs ) is an American volleyball player .

Career

Kessel began his career at William J. Palmer High School. He also played for Cheyenne Mountain. In 2012, the outside attacker, whose father was also a professional volleyball player, began his studies at Princeton University . There he played on the Princeton Tigers university team. In 2015 he went to Volley Schönenwerd . At the Swiss first division club, he had to end the season prematurely due to an injury. In 2016, Kessel was signed by the German Bundesliga club SVG Lüneburg . With the club, he reached the quarter-finals in the DVV Cup and in the Bundesliga playoffs in the 2016/17 season . The same result came a year later. In the 2018/19 season, Kessel then had a cup final with Lüneburg and made it to the semi-finals in the playoffs . For the 2019/2020 season he switched to the German champion Berlin Recycling Volleys .

In beach volleyball , Kessel played a few tournaments on the AVP Tour .
