Robin Clark (born around 1950 in New York City ) is an American singer .

Life

Robin Clark has mainly worked as a background singer since the late 1960s . Her first major production was in 1975 for the David Bowie album Young Americans . Numerous assignments followed, including for Chic , Luther Vandross , Bette Midler , Irene Cara , Sheena Easton , Aztec Camera , Scissor Sisters , Leona Lewis and many more, and she also sang advertising jingles.

In 1984 she released a solo album called Surrender . In 1985 she appeared on the Simple Minds album Once Upon a Time with eye-catching solo parts and was also featured in the music videos and went on a world tour.

Private

Clark is married to guitarist Carlos Alomar , their daughter is singer-songwriter Lea Lorien .
