Robin Nelisse (born January 25, 1978 in Rotterdam , South Holland , Netherlands ) is a former Dutch football player . He was a national player for the Netherlands Antilles .
Career
In the 1997/98 season he began his professional career at Feyenoord Rotterdam when he came from the Rotterdam U19 to the first team. In 1999 he was a substitute for Dutch champions. After two years as a substitute, he moved to Cambuur Leeuwarden in 1999 , where he worked for a year before moving to AZ Alkmaar . After five years in Alkmaar , he played for three more years at FC Utrecht before moving abroad to Austria for FC Red Bull Salzburg in 2008 .
In Salzburg he was able to celebrate his first goal win in his first Bundesliga appearance in the first round (July 9, 2008) against SV Mattersburg . He scored the sixth goal in the Bulls ' 6-0 triumph in the 66th minute , having been substituted for Marc Janko a minute earlier . After a further eleven goals, the man from the Antilles was able to celebrate the championship title in Austria in 2009. He spent the 2009/2010 season when he was not injured as a substitute on the bench. He scored one goal in the eight games he played. On January 20, 2011, the player and the club agreed to terminate the contract by mutual agreement. On August 11, 2011, he announced that he was retiring due to persistent knee problems.

Internationally he plays for the Netherlands Antilles , where he made his debut against Nicaragua on February 6, 2008. So far he has played two games for the Antilles.
