Lists on the subject

The Robinson Armament Co. XCR is a multi-caliber weapon developed for a tender by the United States Special Operations Command (SOCOM). The tender was won by the FN SCAR , the XCR was ruled out because the company submitted the associated maneuver cartridge devices too late. Robinson Armament then further developed the weapon in order to offer it to other customers such as the military, police and private individuals. First deliveries started in mid-2006.

technology

The weapon has an aluminum housing with Keymod or MLok mountings or four Picatinny rails (top, left, right, bottom) for mounting accessories.

The rails can be covered by plastic panels to increase ease of use. A BUIS (Backup Iron Sight) is integrated on the upper rail. There are STANAG magazines used.

The control rod is connected to the bolt carrier and the return spring is guided in it. Control rod and bolt carrier are positively held together and guided in the housing. The locking head is a patented in-house development and is based on that of the AK-47 . The rifle has a folding shoulder rest.
