Rollin Augustus "Rod" Daniel III (born August 4, 1942 in Nashville , Tennessee , † April 16, 2016 in Chicago , Illinois ) was an American film director and television producer .

Life

Rod Daniel began his career in the film business as the director and producer of the American television series WKRP in Cincinnati , which was created by Hugh Wilson . Daniel has been nominated three times for an Emmy for these activities . Until the 1980s he worked exclusively for television. He made his first feature film in 1985 with the film Teen Wolf . Michael J. Fox played the leading role . Two years later he made the comedy Wie der Vater, so der Sohn , followed by My partner with the cold snout in 1989.
