Kevin - Alone Against All (Alternative title: Kevin - Alone to House 4 , Original Title: Home Alone 4 ) is an American television film from November 3, 2002. The direction was taken over by Rod Daniel .

action

The story, like the other films in the Home Alone series that has been released to date, takes place around Christmas time. But Kevin's parents are on the verge of divorce and so Kevin is left alone with his sister Megan and his brother Buzz, who always annoyed and teased him. One day, mother Kate McCallister is absent , so Buzz has to take care of Kevin. It becomes a horror: for example, Kevin has to scrub the aquarium and take out the garbage, which is crowned with annoyance from his brother.

One day the father Peter comes to visit and announces to the family that he has a new girlfriend whom he wants to marry. He also announces that she is inviting Kevin over. He refuses at first, but then decides to come to her. He is driving a taxi to the lovers when he sees a car that looks familiar to him, but he doesn't know where from. When he was received he saw the butler named Mr. Prescot . He brings him to Natalie and Kevin's father, who are happy that he still accepted the invitation, and explain to him that the house has many functions (they call it a multimedia house ) by speaking your wish into a kind of microphone and the wish usually comes true (e.g. "open the door"). Kevin also meets Molly, a nice housewife who has a son, but does not reveal who it is. Kevin also learns that a prince would soon be visiting Natalie.

When Natalie drives away and Molly goes shopping, Mr. Prescot and Kevin are alone. After Kevin looks out the window, he sees the criminal Marv and a woman (Vera) running towards the house. He gets frightened and wants to get Mr. Prescot, but he doesn't find him and so Kevin is on his own. The consequences are that the house is flooded and a door is destroyed after the burglars have left. Kevin tries to tidy up the house using the multimedia function, but it doesn't work, so Natalie comes back to find the house devastated. Kevin tells her and Peter the story, but neither Natalie nor his father believes in the story and thinks that Kevin wants to separate them. After they ask Mr. Prescot, he says he doesn't know anything, so Kevin thinks (through this context) that he is collaborating with the criminals.

When Natalie drives away with Kevin's father and wanted to organize a party afterwards, the burglars come again to kidnap the prince, who is supposed to appear for the celebration. However, his flight will be canceled and postponed to another day. During this time the two criminals plan to kidnap the prince, but Kevin is able to eavesdrop on them and thwart their plan. Then they go back to the celebration, where they find that the prince is not there. Instead, Kevin's father and girlfriend Natalie announce their imminent marriage. Another conflict between Kevin and the criminals turns the party into horror. Natalie and Peter once again blame Kevin for this and threaten him with being thrown out of the house in the next incident of this kind.

The next day, shortly after Kevin locks Mr. Prescot in the wine cellar, the burglars come again. Kevin goes to Molly to ask for help. However, it turned out that Molly is Marv's mother. She grabs Kevin and locks him up with Mr. Prescott in the basement. Down there they both try to escape using Mr. Prescott's cell phone. Kevin uses it to call his mother, who cannot understand him due to a bad reception. Because of the inconsistencies in the phone calls (Kate also calls Peter), the two immediately go to Natalie's house. You arrive on time and alert the police.

The story ends with Natalie arriving with the prince, and Kevin's parents reconciling - just like him and his siblings. The prince celebrates Christmas with Kevin's family as a reward for rescuing him and Mr. Prescot resigning, so Natalie seems close to tears.

Reviews

“Fourth offshoot of the 'Alone at home' story, in which all actors have now been replaced. An over-the-top comedy that practices copying its predecessors. "

“The fourth part of the child neglect series stubbornly sticks to the now well-known formula: crude gags and bad traps. [...] Alone for the fourth time - a case for care. "
