Nari Erick Avari (born April 13, 1952 in Darjiling ) is an Indian actor who mainly works in the United States .

life and career

Born in Darjiling, India, Avari immigrated to the United States and began an acting career. He played in numerous successful films, often in comic supporting roles or as a kind of "wise man in the background", such as Stargate , The Mummy , Planet of the Apes and Daredevil .

Avari is also very successful as a series actor, including appearances in three Star Trek series ( Next Generation , Deep Space Nine , Enterprise ). He has also appeared in the X-Files , Heroes and Alias . He and Alexis Cruz are the only two actors to appear in both the Stargate film and the Stargate SG-1 series based on it .
