Reviews
Brian Webster said on Apollo Movie Guide that the comedy is flat but you can like it. They combine two popular genres of children's films - a sports film and a film about outsiders who would win. It appears spartan, but not cheap, its morality is simple, the conflicts shown are mild.
"Comedic entertainment that, after a few entanglements, strives towards a happy ending in the tried and tested Disney style."
"Drama comedy for the whole family."
Awards
Robert Richard received a nomination for the Young Artist Award in 2001 ("Best Performance in a TV Movie (Comedy) - Leading Young Actor")
