Rod Fontana
Rod Fontana (born September 18, 1952 as Ronald Boyer ) is an American porn actor and director . He is also known under the name Rod Fontanna or Scuddle Fontana .
Life
Fontana grew up in South Carolina . He later studied at Southern Wesleyan University , but dropped out to serve in the US Army , of which he was a member from 1970 to 1973. During this time he was in Vietnam for six months in 1971 and was wounded three times. When he was about to join the New York Police Department in 1975 , the city ran into financial difficulties and the proposed position fell victim to austerity measures. Fontana was now unemployed. In this situation, a porn actor friend of his recommended that he work in the porn industry himself. Fontana shot his first pornographic film in August 1976. After several years in the porn industry, he rejoined the US Army in 1979 and served there until 1990. Fontana then returned to the porn industry and went to California , where he worked first in San Francisco and later in Los Angeles . From 1995 he also worked as a director. In 2005 he was inducted into the AVN Hall of Fame.
He is married to the former porn actress Liza Harper and has a daughter with her who was born in 2002.
