Rodica Dunca (born May 16, 1965 in Baia Mare ) is a former Romanian gymnast .

1979 Dunca took part in the world championships for the first time . In Fort Worth she won with Nadia Comăneci , Dumitrița Turner , Emilia Eberle , Melita Rühn and Marilena Vlădărău the first Romanian world champion title in history in the team all-around competition. In addition, Dunca reached fifth place in the individual all-around competition.

At the 1980 Olympic Games in Moscow, she was able to win the silver medal with the Romanian team, while she was seventh in the individual all-around competition.

At the European Championships in 1981 , Dunca won the bronze medal on the balance beam and was fourth in the individual all-around event, tied with the Soviet gymnast Natalia Ilienko . At the World Championships in the same year, she just missed the medal places. With the team she was fourth, fifth on the ground and sixth in the all-around competition.

After her competitive sports career, Dunca was a trainer in Baia Mare. She was also active as a ballet dancer at the city theater.
