Career

In his youth, Scruggs was considered one of the best players of his year in Germany and was appointed to the junior national team. He made his first appearances in the basketball league at the age of 17 for Avitos Gießen , a total of eleven short appearances in two years. In addition, he was licensed to the Giessen cooperation partner Avitos Lich , for which he completed other games in the second division.

At the age of 19 he moved to the second division Rhöndorf in 2003. Further stations were Wolfenbüttel, Krefeld and again Rhöndorf (all in the 2nd Bundesliga).

Following the years with numerous club changes, he spent two seasons at Schalke, also in the 2nd Bundesliga. In 2008, at the age of 25, he switched to coach Torsten Loibl in Chemnitz.

In 2009 he went to BiG Gotha in the first regional league, in the 2010/11 season he started with Gotha in the 2nd Bundesliga ProB . In the 2011/12 season Scruggs played for the regional league team Göppingen and from 2012 for the BC Energie Zwickau (also regional league), for which he played his last season in 2013/14 and ended his playing career with health problems.
