Rodolfo Acosta (actor)

Rodolfo Acosta , actually Rodolfo Acosta Pérez (born July 29, 1920 in Chihuahua , † November 7, 1974 in Woodland Hills , Los Angeles ) was a Mexican actor.

Career

Acosta first worked in Mexico as an actor for films and plays before John Ford hired him in 1947 for the film Command of Conscience , shot in Mexico . American producers often hired Acosta because of his dark complexion for roles in westerns in which he was supposed to portray campesinos or indians . Acosta played supporting roles in a long series of films before he played a sheriff in his last film Bloody Conspiracy .
