Rodrigo Dourado Cunha (born June 17, 1994 in Pelotas ) is a Brazilian football player . The right foot predominantly plays in defensive midfield.
Career
society
Dourado started his career in the youth team of SC Internacional from Porto Alegre . Here he also made the leap into the first team. On January 26, 2012, he played his first game as a professional in the Campeonato Gaúcho . Dourado made his debut in the Série A in the 2012 season on September 16, 2012, the 25th matchday of the season. In the home game against Sport Recife he was in the starting line-up and was substituted for Cassiano Dias Moreira after half-time. Dourado scored the first goal in Série A in the 2015 season . Again in a home game against Sport , he scored the goal to make it 2-1 in the 82nd minute. At the end of the 2016 season , his club had to relegate for the first time in championship history since 1971. After the immediate resurgence, Dourado played first class again in the 2018 season .
In May 2019, Dourado had to undergo knee surgery. Two months later, on July 11th, he was back on the pitch in a cup game against Palmeiras São Paulo . Due to persistent pain, he was not able to continue playing afterwards. He was diagnosed with bone edema . This was treated operably in September 2019.
National team
With the U-17s of Brazil , he played four games at the U-17 South American Football Championship in 2011 and won the tournament with the team.
For the 2016 Summer Olympics , Dourado was appointed to the squad of the Olympic selection. In the tournament he came to a mission and won the gold medal with the team around captain Neymar .
