The Rodund hydropower plant is a power plant owned by illwerke vkw AG in Montafon, Austria . It has been referred to as Rodundwerk I since 1976. The two plants Rodundwerk I and Rodundwerk II are directly connected to each other in the municipality of Vandans .
They take advantage of the difference in altitude to the Latschau reservoir above Tschagguns .
Rodundwerk I
The Rodundwerke are located in the municipality of Vandans. Rodundwerk I uses the Latschau - Rodund slope of 992 m above sea level. A. at 644 m above sea level A. A pressure shaft leads from the Latschau reservoir into the Rodundwerk I.
The power plant has been in operation with two machines since 1943. The third machine was connected to the grid in 1944. The fourth machine group and the storage pump have been in operation since 1952.
