The Rogen ( Swedish roe , South Sami : Rovje ) is a wild river in the Swedish-Norwegian border area.

geography

The roe drains the lake of the same name on the Swedish-Norwegian border . The lake itself is fed by several source streams. The roe flows in an east-west direction at about 62 degrees north and breaks through the Femundsmarka into the Femundsee .

The river sometimes flows lonely through the mountainous region like rapids, there is no road access.

The border between the two Norwegian provinces Innlandet and Trøndelag runs along the river.

The river is considered the top section of the river system Rogen- Trysilelva - Klarälven - Göta älv .

leisure

The roe is often used for multi-day canoe expeditions.
