Roger Sellers

Roger Sellers (born July 18, 1939 in Melbourne ) is an Australian jazz drummer. He was a member of the jazz rock band Nucleus in the 1970s.

Sellers began his career in Australia and New Zealand and played with Dave MacRae and Mike Nock in 1959 . In 1972 he went to the USA for a year and a half and then moved to England, where he was part of Nucleus from 1976 to 1980 . In 1978 he was in India for several weeks, where he played the first Jazz Yatra in Bombay . In England he also played with Ronnie Scott , Neil Ardley , Sonny Stitt , Art Farmer , Al Gray and Ernestine Anderson . In 1981 he finally moved to New Zealand, where he teaches at the New Zeland School of Music , among others .

He also played with Mark Murphy , Bruce Forman , Phil Broadhurst and Emily Remler .
