Roger Ward

Roger Ward (born July 24, 1937 in Adelaide ) is a pioneer of Australian film and television.

Life

Roger Ward grew up in Adelaide . He began his stage career at the age of twelve. He played his best-known roles in Mad Max , Number 96 , Homicide , Division 4 and Stone and the Man from Hong Kong .

In Tahiti he met Marlon Brando in 1961 and worked as an extra in mutiny on the Bounty . At that time he wrote his novel The Set , which was filmed in Australia in 1969 (the novel itself was not published until 2011).
