Roger William Gries OSB (born March 26, 1937 in Cleveland ) is auxiliary bishop emeritus in Cleveland .

Life

Roger William Gries joined the Congregation of Benedictine in, put the profession on July 11, 1957, received on 16 May 1963, the priestly ordination .

Pope John Paul II named him Auxiliary Bishop in Cleveland and Titular Bishop of the Praesidium on April 3, 2001 . He received his episcopal ordination on June 7th of that year, Bishop of Cleveland, Anthony Michael Pilla ; Co-consecrators were the auxiliary bishops Alexander James Quinn and Anthony Edward Pevec from Cleveland.

Pope Francis accepted his age-related resignation on November 1, 2013.
