Roger Züger (* 1976 in Lachen SZ ) is a Swiss politician ( FDP ).

Life

Roger Züger and his brother grew up in Bettnau in Siebnen in an apartment building that was on their grandfather's farm. Since 2006 he has lived with his family again in the community of Schübelbach , this time in Schübelbach itself.

Züger has been married since 2003 and has two children.

education

Züger trained as an electronics technician (specializing in computer software) at Alcatel-Lucent (formerly Alcatel Schweiz AG ). Later he completed part-time training to become a dipl. Engineer FH Computer Science at the Zurich University of Applied Sciences and has been a certified ITIL expert since 2014 .

Working life

Züger has been working in IT for several years. In the first few years he mainly worked in the HelpDesk, Operations & Support department and has been working for a major Swiss bank as a team leader in the transition / release management environment for some time. During his professional career he has worked on various local and international outsourcing, migration and implementation projects or has been the project manager himself.

Züger founded i-Services GmbH with two former work colleagues in 2004, which was transferred to two employees in 2009. Züger has also been a member of the cantonal examination committee 19 for IT professions of the Canton of Zurich since 2003.

politics

Züger has been a member of the local Schübelbach party of the FDP since 2009, the Liberals. From 2012 to 2016 he was a member of the school council in the community of Schübelbach and headed the ICT ( information and communication technology ) department. He has been a member of the 100-strong Schwyz Cantonal Council since 2016 and is also a member of the Council's Education and Culture Commission.
