Rogue Trooper is a video game for Windows , PlayStation 2 and Xbox based on the comic strip series of the same name from 2000 AD . In spring 2009 an improved version for Nintendo's Wii was also released . An earlier implementation for the Amiga appeared in 1991.

action

Nu-Earth is at war. The GIs are genetically modified soldiers of the Souther who are at war with the Northern. A betrayal from their own ranks decimates the GIs to a single one. This is now trying to find the traitor. He receives help from his three physically dead friends Gunnar, whose biochip he has integrated into his weapon, from Helm, whose chip he has integrated into his helmet and who provides him with information, and from Bagman, whose chip he has built into his backpack and who can make new items for him from old material, which the player picks up on the way.

Gameplay

The game is played from the pursuer's perspective. Most of the time you can choose to proceed silently or brutally. The weapon selection ranges from sniper rifles with silencers to rocket launchers. During the game, the comrades integrated in the equipment give you hints, complain or small talk is held, which gives the whole thing something unique. The player is able to perform pike rolls in order to avoid fire, lay mines or use his machine gun as a stationary gun.
