Rocco Ramirez
Rokko Ramirez (born September 6, 1969 , born Gerold Haubner ) is an Austrian DJ . He stages himself as a fictional character with fictional biography . He was also the frontman of the skapunk band Jesus Christ Smokes Holy Gasoline until 2012 .
DJ
Rokko Ramirez sees himself "[...] as a link between a heavy metal band and a rock DJ [...]" . He is known in Austria for his appearances as "Austria's toughest DJ in the world". His stage shows are usually lavishly staged and deliberately flirt with clichés and prejudices. Topics such as sadomasochism , sexism and alcoholism are often taken up and implemented graphically by actors and artists in his shows.
His work as a support DJ for Marilyn Manson and Rob Zombie brought Rokko Ramirez first mention and recognition in the Austrian media. This was followed, among other things, with appearances with the Venezuelan DJ Zardonic and the Croatian DJane Virgin Helena as well as with the Canadian performance artist Zombie Boy and the drummer of the indie rock band Madsen , Sascha Madsen.

Internationally, his last tours in 2013/14, 2015 and 2016/17 took him to Shenzhen, Beijing, Shanghai and Suzhou, where he appeared several times at China's largest rock festival, the Midi Modern Music Festival .
Rokko Ramirez was able to achieve a kind of cult status in China because of his commitment to publicizing international music in China and because of his "exotic" appearance in the Far East. This is underpinned by regular crowds of people during his performances. Rokko Ramirez was named the most important export hit after the "Mozartkugel" by an Austrian newspaper.
The fictional character
The native Gerold Haubner gave Rokko Ramirez a fictional biography . Afterwards, the young Ramirez grew up in the Mexican border town of Tijuana . In order to escape the poverty of his hometown and to fully pursue his passion, music, he decided to move to Europe at an early age to gain a foothold as a musician. His path eventually led to Austria.
With "Shut the f ** k up", Rokko Ramirez has brewed his own India Pale Ale in cooperation with the Vienna Brewery.
