Roksolana Byljakowska ( Ukrainian Роксолана Биляковска ; born June 1, 1984 in Lemberg ) is a former Ukrainian natural track tobogganist . She started in the World Cup from 2003 to 2004 and is one of the few women who also took part in a World Cup race in a doubles. In 2004 she was also the first woman to take part in a European championship for Ukraine .

Career

Roksolana Byljakowska competed in her first World Cup races in January 2003 in Hüttau and Kindberg . While she only finished 16th and last in Hüttau, she left two tobogganers behind in Kindberg in twelfth. She then took part in the 2003 Junior European Championships in Kreuth , where she finished second to last in 21st place. At the World Cup finals of the 2002/2003 season in Olang , she crossed the finish line in 15th place, again third from bottom, and thus finished 16th in the overall World Cup. At the World Cup finals, she also competed in doubles with Juri Harzula , making her one of the very few women to take part in doubles in World Cup races. The duo Hartsula / Byljakowska only came in twelfth and last place and for Byljakowska this was their only World Cup start in the doubles.

In the 2003/2004 season , Roksolana Byljakowska took part in two World Cup races. In the opening race in Olang she was penultimate in 19th place and in the fourth race of the season in Moscow she was the last in eleventh place, which brought her to 22nd place in the overall World Cup. She also took part in the 2004 Junior World Championships in Kindberg, where she finished 16th out of 20 starters. Her last international appearance was at the 2004 European Championships in Hüttau, her only title fight in the general class. Byljakowska was the first woman to take part in a European championship for the Ukrainian association and reached 23rd place out of 26 starters at this premiere.
