The Roland-Center Bremen is a shopping center in Huchting , in the southwestern part of Bremen . It was built as one of the first German shopping centers and expanded and restructured several times in the following years.
description
Over 100 specialist shops from the service, retail and catering sectors are spread over two levels and additional external buildings on around 30,000 m² of retail space. The Bremen City Library and lawyers' offices are located on the second floor . The operator of the Roland Center is ECE Projektmanagement GmbH.
location
The Roland-Center is located in the district of Kirchhuchting in the southwestern Bremen district of Huchting . Bremer Straßenbahn AG (BSAG) built a tram terminus and thus a central transfer point right next to the shopping center . After this was first called Kirchhuchting , it was later renamed the Roland Center . The tram lines 1 and 8, the bus lines 52, 55, 57 and 58 as well as the night lines N1 and N6 of the BSAG stop there. Other bus lines run from the bus stop to the surrounding towns of Delmenhorst , Stuhr and Wildeshausen . The Roland-Center is connected to the A 27 (via Bundesstraße 6 ), A 28 and A 281 motorways via the nearby federal highway 75 . The Kirchhuchtinger Landstrasse passing by the center ends as Moordeicher Landstrasse on the A 28, which is connected to the A 1 in the immediate vicinity via the Stuhr triangle .
Venue
For associations and institutions in the region, the Roland-Center is a platform for events that provide variety and entertainment in the covered shopping area with the centre's major promotions and markets. An antique market is regularly held in the Roland Center on Sundays, where exhibitors from neighboring countries such as Denmark or the Netherlands also offer antiques.
