Roland Gerdenitsch (born August 31, 1978 ) is a former Austrian goalkeeper . Most recently he played for the amateur team of SV Mattersburg in the third-class Regionalliga Ost . He has also made three appearances for the club's Bundesliga team to date .

Career

Gerdenitsch played for SC Wiesen from Wiesen im Burgenland , a small market town in the Mattersburg district , until 2006 . Right at the beginning of the new season Gerdenitsch moved to the Regionalliga Ost to the amateurs of SV Mattersburg. To date, he has made at least 31 appearances for the amateurs and on August 10, 2007 he scored a hit from the recovery of a penalty shot.

In the 2006/07 season Gerdenitsch was substituted on April 17, 2007 in the 2-2 away draw against SK Rapid Vienna in the 46th minute of play for Robert Almer . Almost two years later, on April 25, 2009, he played again for Mattersburg when he came back for Stefan Bliem in the 46th minute . In 2010 he ended his active career and has been the goalkeeping coach of SV Mattersburg since 2019 .
