Career

Bliem began his active career as a football player in 1990 in the youth team of SV Gloggnitz in Lower Austria . At that time he started as a striker , only when he moved to SV Admira Wiener Neustadt in 2001 did he take up the position of goalkeeper. In 2003 he transferred to SV Sigleß, a neighboring town of Mattersburg . In 2007 Bliem got an offer from the Bundesliga club SV Mattersburg , where he was subsequently committed as the second goalkeeper behind Thomas Borenitsch . In addition to the Bundesliga team, Bliem is the regular goalkeeper of Mattersburg's second team in the Regionalliga Ost , for which he played twelve games until March 5, 2009. Due to an injury to the goalkeeper Thomas Borenitsch, Bliem was promoted to the Bundesliga team in March 2009, where he was the new goalkeeper.

Bliem made his debut in the Austrian Bundesliga on October 25, 2008 on the occasion of the 1-0 away defeat at SK Rapid Vienna , when he played the entire game. Bliem celebrated the first game in the Bundesliga without a goal on November 8, 2008 against SK Austria Kärnten ; the game ended in a 0-0 draw. After he was transferred in the summer of 2011 from the professional team to the second team that played in the Regionalliga Ost , he did not play a game for SV Mattersburg; he was only twice without use in the squad. His contract expired in the summer and since then he has played at FC Schottwien and SV Gloggnitz.
