Roland Heer
Roland Heer (born January 10, 1959 in Montreal ) is a Swiss writer and mountaineer .
Life
Roland Heer has lived in Zurich since 1980 . He studied German philosophy and psychology. He was one of the Zurich sport climbers who got together in the context of the Zurich youth movement in 1980 in the Üetliberg climbing club .
Heer has been working as a German teacher since 1992. A first volume of poetry was published in 1993, followed by numerous essays, poems, short stories and in 2010 the first novel “Fucking Friends”. His lyrics are often experimental, musical, daring and complex. In an essay, he compares extreme experiences as a climber with the work of a writer.
