Roland Kollmann (theologian)

Roland Kollmann (born April 12, 1935 in Leverkusen - Wiesdorf ; † December 3, 2014 ) was a German Roman Catholic theologian .

Life

Kollmann was the son of a human resources manager at the Bayer works in Leverkusen. From 1954 to 1958 he studied philosophy and Catholic theology at the University of Bonn . From 1978 to 2000 he was professor for Catholic theology at the Technical University of Dortmund . He was editor of the Essen series of religious education perspectives . He was married to the doctor Marianne Kollmann and has three children. His brother Siegfried Kollmann was pastor of the Archdiocese of Cologne. In 2011, Kollmann signed the memorandum Church 2011: A necessary departure .
