On July 1, 1972, Detlef Hegemann took over the bankrupt Rolandwerft in Bremen- Hemelingen . Shipbuilding was not resumed until 1977 with the Rolandwerft Type 0 . On the basis of type 0, the shipyard developed types 1 , 2 and 3. Type 3 was a direct further development of type 2, which had the same shipping lines and only slightly changed dimensions, a higher load capacity and a larger cargo space . The river-seagoing ship type is primarily designed for operation in small voyages to the outer areas of various European rivers. The dimensions, such as the height of the superstructures and the back, are tailored to the special features of this insert. The type ship delivered in March 1981 was the Selena .
