The type 1 of the Rolandwerft in Bremen is a river-sea ship type .

history

On July 1, 1972, Detlef Hegemann took over the bankrupt Rolandwerft in Bremen- Hemelingen . Shipbuilding was not resumed until 1977 with the Rolandwerft Type 0 . Based on the type 0, the shipyard developed types 1, 2 and 3 . The type 1 was a smaller version of the type 0. The river seagoing ship type is mainly designed for the operation in the small voyage to the outer areas of various European rivers. The dimensions, such as the height of the superstructures and the back, are tailored to the special features of this insert. The client for the type ship Warfleth built in 1980 was the shipping company Dieter Blanke from Berne. The Warfleth was used for many years by the Rhein-, Maas- und See-Schiffahrtkontor in transporting steel products from the Ruhr area and North Sea ports to Great Britain.

technology

The drive of the series consists of a 442 kW Deutz four-stroke diesel engine , which acts on a controllable pitch propeller via a reduction gear .
