On July 1, 1972, Detlef Hegemann took over the bankrupt Rolandwerft in Bremen- Hemelingen . Shipbuilding was not resumed until 1977 with the type ship Verena . The client was the shipping company Thekla Schepers from Haren (Ems) . The type 0 is designed as a river ocean-going vessel, primarily for operation in short voyages to the outer areas of various European rivers. The dimensions, such as the height of the superstructures and the back, are tailored to the special features of this insert. Type 0 formed the basis for the development of types 1 , 2 and 3 .
