Rolf Dräger
Rolf Dräger († October 2, 1970 in Spielberg ) was a German engineer and university professor .
Life
Dräger joined the Wehrmacht air force and on January 1, 1940 was first lieutenant in the reserve and technical officer in Coastal Aviation Group 806. This had already been equipped with the Heinkel He 111J and was specially trained for combat at sea. On September 1, 1942, she became part of Kampfgeschwader 54 . Dräger had been captain of the reserve since May 1942 and was promoted to major of the reserve on April 1, 1943 . In the meantime he had also received the German Cross in silver . On May 20, 1943, he moved to Kampfgeschwader 26 , where he saw the end of the war.
He then worked as a freelance engineer from 1945 to 1949. From 1949 he was a professor at the Technical University in Karlsruhe and director of the Institute for Conveyor Technology. In 1966 he retired.
