Rolf Hermann (born December 1, 1981 in Lübbecke ) is a former German handball player .
Hermann was a contract player for TBV Lemgo (shirt number 20) from 2007 and played for the German national handball team from 2005 to 2008 (shirt number 6). He was usually used in the right back space.
Career
Hermann started with handball at SG Surheide / Schiffdorferdamm in Bremerhaven and moved to GWD Minden in 1999 , where he became German A youth champion in 2000.
From 2000 to 2002 he played for the HCE Bad Oeynhausen in the major league. In 2002 there was a change to HSG Augustdorf / Hövelhof in the 2nd handball league . From there he moved to the 1st Bundesliga in 2004 for TuS N-Lübbecke . In 2007 Hermann signed a two-year contract with TBV Lemgo . In February 2009 he extended it there until 2012, later until 2018. In 2010 he won the EHF Cup with TBV Lemgo .
In the 2012/13 season, Rolf Hermann was TBV Lemgo's top scorer and, with 162 field goals, second-best field scorer in the DKB-Handball-Bundesliga. In November 2017 he had to end his career due to a shoulder injury. He scored a total of 1626 field goals in 392 Bundesliga games.
